Miss Arkansas Delta

RULES & REGULATIONS

 

 

  • The pageant is open to any Arkansas resident between the ages of 0-21.

 

  • Registration fee should be paid when you register. You will not be added to the pageant line-up until your registration fee has been paid. Please do not complete the registration form if you don't plan on committing to participating in the event. 

 

  • Admission: There will be a $5 admission fee for all guest. Each contestant will enter for free and have one parent pass (armband). 

 

  • Check-In: Contestants are required to be on time for check-in and the pageant. The doors will open at 12:30pm. Upon arrival, the contestant and their +1 should go directly to the dressing room to check in. All other guests should proceed to the admissions table and secure a seat for the event. We want to start on time for all age groups to allow a smooth and time-efficient pageant. If you are unable to be on time please contact the director immediately.

 

  • Attire:  Contestants ages 0-7 will compete in pageant dress only. Ages 0-7 wear short (cupcake) dresses. Ages 8-21 will compete in sportswear, as well as evening gowns.

 

  • Sportswear:  T-shirts will be provided for Sportswear. You will need a black pair of athletic shorts or skirt and sneakers/tennis shoes. 

 

  • Dressing Rooms: Due to space, only the contestant and one helper will be allowed into the dressing room. Helper must have an armband to enter. Men will be allowed in the dressings rooms. If a male will be escorting the contestant on state, he will join the contestant backstage. 

 

  • Makeup: Makeup should be age appropriate and used with discretion. Makeup is not required to win the pageant and is the sole discretion of the parent.

 

  • Photogenic: All age divisions participate in a photogenic contest within each age group. The photo should be uploaded during registration.

 

  • Side Awards: Prettiest Eyes, Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Smile, Best Dressed, & Most Beautiful. These awards are judged during the final line-up of contestants on stage. They are side awards and have no bearing on the outcome of the Queen in the division.

 

  • Awards: In each age division we will award People’s Choice, Queen, 1st Alternate and 2nd Alternate.  Queen will receive a Crown, Monogrammed Sash, Trophy and Arm Bouquet. People’s Choice will win a Crown and Sash.

 

  • People’s Choice: Each contestant can collect as many votes as they wish. Votes are $1 each. The contestant in each category to sell the most votes will win People’s Choice. All money collected will need to be turned in during check-in. Online voting will end at midnight, the night before the pageant. People's Choice has no bearing on the outcome of the Queen in each division.

 

  • Overall People’s Choice: The contestant to sell the most votes out of all of the contestants will win Overall People’s Choice and will receive $100 cash.

 

  • Judges: During the pageant, please be respectful of the judge’s space and do not stand behind or around their table. Judges will be looking for facial beauty, personality, stage presence (confidence and poise) and the contestant’s overall appearance. The judges do not score the pattern of your walk on stage. Modeling ability will NOT be scored. The judges may deduct points for excessive make-up or age-inappropriate clothing. Judges will not count off for casts, missing teeth, bruises, braces or anything else that a child normally encounters during childhood. The pageant director will pick qualified and impartial judges and their names will not be released before the pageant begins. Score Sheets will be available on the Monday following the pageant.   • Good conduct and sportsmanship is expected at all times during the pageant and throughout the reign of each winner. Unbecoming conduct and bad sportsmanship will NOT be tolerated. If a contestant, family member or supporter shows bad sportsmanship or slanders the Miss Arkansas Delta Pageant, its directors, peers, judges, volunteers or anyone else affiliated with the pageant, this will result in disqualification and/or relinquishing of that title, as well as being banned from any future pageants. 

 

  • Age Groups and Information:

Baby Miss -0-18 months | Toddler Miss - 19 months-3 years | Mini Miss -4-5 years | Little Miss -6-7 years | Petite Miss -8-10 years |  PreTeen Miss -11-12 years | Teen Miss - 13-15 years | Jr Miss - 16-17 years | Miss - 18-21

 

  • The Miss Arkansas Delta Organization is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property. Please treat the facility with the utmost respect and clean up after yourself when the competition is over. 

 

  • The Director reserves the final and absolute right to interpret these rules and arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, questions and differences in regard thereto, or otherwise arising out of or connected with any incident surrounding the contest, and the right to amend or add to these rules as their judgment may determine. Any contestant who fails to abide by any of the above rules can be disqualified from the competition.
