Miss Arkansas Delta

RULES & REGULATIONS

 

 

  • The pageant is open to all ages. 

 

  • The registration fee is required at the time of completing the registration form. Please note that participants will not be included in the pageant line-up until the registration fee has been successfully processed. 

 

  • Admission: An admission fee of $5 will be required for all attendees. Contestants will receive complimentary entry and will be provided with one parent pass (armband) granting access to the dressing room.

 

  • Check-In: Contestants are expected to arrive punctually for check-in and the pageant. The venue doors will open at 12:30 PM. Upon arrival, contestants should proceed directly to the check-in table. All other attendees are requested to proceed to the admissions table and secure their seating for the event.  It is our priority to commence the pageant on schedule for all age groups to ensure a seamless and efficient progression of the event. Should you anticipate any delays, please notify the director without delay.

 

  • Attire:  Participants aged 0-7 will compete exclusively in pageant dresses, with the attire being short (cupcake-style) dresses. Participants aged 8+ will be evaluated in both sportswear and formal evening gowns. Please note that appropriate footwear is mandatory on stage at all times.

 

  • Sportswear:  T-shirts will be distributed during the check-in process for Sportswear. Participants are required to bring a black pair of athletic shorts or a skirt, along with sneakers or tennis shoes. 


  • Fun Fashion: Fun Fashion allows contestants to showcase their personal style through a variety of outfits, often described as red-carpet-ready, like cocktail dresses or patterned jumpsuits, allowing them to express their personality and creativity. 
    The fun fashion category is designed to give contestants an opportunity to express their personal sense of style and showcase their creativity through fashion.
 
  • Talent: Showcase your unique skills and abilities. Talents can range from singing and dancing to playing an instrument, performing a monologue, or even demonstrating a unique skill like gymnastics or martial arts. 
     
     
    • Props: Props used during performances should be safe and easy to manage. While props are not required, their use is at the discretion of the performer.
    •  

      • Act lengthActs will be limited to no more than 2 minutes. Entrants will need to provide their own instruments, props, or digital song files.

       

      • ContentMusic and lyrics must be appropriate for the audience, and may not include profanity or references to drugs or sexual acts.

       

      • Safety: Acts should be safe and clean, and may not include pyrotechnics, fire, or live animals. Items brought on stage must remain on stage for the duration of the performance.

     
     
    • Dressing Rooms: Only the contestant and a single designated assistant will be permitted access to the dressing room. The assistant must possess and display an official armband for entry. Please note that males are strictly prohibited from entering the dressing rooms. In instances where a male will accompany the contestant on stage, he will meet the contestant in the backstage area. Please do not take photos in the dressing room. 

     

    • Makeup: Makeup application should align with the participant's age and be utilized with careful consideration. While makeup is not a mandatory requirement for success in the pageant, its use remains entirely at the discretion of the parent.

     

    • Photogenic: Participants from all age divisions are invited to compete in a photogenic contest within their respective age groups. A recent photograph, taken within the past year, must be uploaded during the registration process. It is recommended that the photograph maintain a natural appearance and avoid excessive filtering.  

     

    • Side Awards: Prettiest Eyes, Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Smile, Best Dressed, & Most Beautiful. These awards are judged during the final line-up of contestants on stage. Please note that these side awards do not influence the selection of the Queen in the division.

     

    • Awards: In each age division, awards will be presented for People’s Choice, Queen, 1st Alternate, and 2nd Alternate, Sportwear and Fun Fashion. The title of Queen will be accompanied by a crown, a custom monogrammed sash, a trophy, and an arm bouquet. The recipient of the People’s Choice award will be honored with a crown and sash.

     

    • People’s Choice: Each participant is permitted to accumulate an unlimited number of votes. Votes are priced at $1 each. The individual in each category who secures the highest number of votes will be awarded the People’s Choice title. All funds collected must be submitted during the designated check-in process. Online voting will close at midnight on the evening prior to the pageant. Please note that the People’s Choice award does not influence the selection of the Queen in each division.

     

    • Overall People’s Choice: The contestant receiving the highest number of People's Choice votes among all participants will be awarded the Overall People's Choice title and a cash prize of $100.

     

    • Judges: During the pageant, kindly maintain a respectful distance from the judges' table and refrain from standing directly behind or in close proximity to their area. The judges will evaluate contestants based on facial beauty, personality, stage presence (including confidence and poise), and overall appearance. Please note that the judges will not assess or score the pattern of your walk on stage, as modeling ability is not a criterion. However, points may be deducted for excessive make-up or attire deemed inappropriate for the contestant’s age. Judges will not penalize contestants for casts, missing teeth, bruises, braces, or other common childhood occurrences. The pageant director is responsible for selecting qualified and impartial judges, whose identities will remain confidential until the commencement of the event.     • Participants are required to adhere to exemplary conduct and demonstrate sportsmanship at all times, both during the pageant and throughout the duration of their reign. Any behavior deemed inappropriate or unsportsmanlike will not be permitted. Should a contestant, family member, or supporter engage in unsportsmanlike conduct or make defamatory remarks regarding the Miss Arkansas Delta Pageant, its organizers, judges, volunteers, or any affiliated individuals, such actions will result in disqualification and/or forfeiture of the title. Additionally, this may lead to prohibition from participating in future pageant events. 

     

    • Age Groups and Information:

    • The Miss Arkansas Delta Organization assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged property. Participants and attendees are respectfully requested to maintain the integrity of the facility and ensure it is left in a clean and orderly condition following the conclusion of the competition. 

     

    • The Director retains the ultimate authority to interpret these rules and to make definitive decisions on all matters, questions, or disputes arising from or related to the contest or any associated incidents. Furthermore, the Director reserves the right to amend or supplement these rules as deemed necessary in their professional judgment. Any contestant found in violation of the aforementioned rules may be subject to disqualification from the competition.
